Long Track Junior World Team Named in Minnesota

This past weekend the Junior Championships and AmCup 2 were held at the Guidant John Rose Minnesota Oval in Roseville, MN. 

 

The weekend was filled with great racing as Junior athletes competed for a spot on the Junior World Championship Team. All skaters rose to the occasion and gave it their all for each and every race. Without a doubt, there is tremendous talent coming through the development pipeline, giving USS many reasons to be excited for the future of speed skating in the United States for years to come. There were a total of five women and five men named to the 2022 ISU Long Track Junior World Championship Team:

A very big thank you to the Guidant John Rose Minnesota Oval, the Midway Speedskating Club, and all of the volunteers, officials, athletes, coaches and parents for an outstanding long weekend of racing.,” commented Regional Development Coordinator Dave Tamburino. “It was wonderful to see long track speed skating return to its outdoor roots for one of the biggest domestic competitions many of our Junior skaters will participate in this season.”

 

Congratulations to everyone, especially those who will be representing the United States at the 2022 ISU Junior World Championships - Long Track and the ISU Junior World Cup Final events in Innsbruck, Austria. We wish them the very best of luck and are excited to support them in the months and years ahead!
