US Speedskating Names 2026 Long Track Winter Olympic Team
Milwaukee, WI (January 6, 2026) - US Speedskating announced after the 2026 U.S. Olympic Team Trials Presented by Lilly – Long Track Speedskating the 13 athletes who will represent Team USA in long track speed skating at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 in February. This includes eight returning Olympians and five first-time Olympic nominees.
The final 13 Olympic Team nominations are as follows:
Men
Ethan Cepuran (Mass Start, Team Pursuit) - Glen Ellyn, IL, A 2022 Olympic bronze medalist in team pursuit, Cepuran heads into his second Olympic Games a world champion, 5-time overall world cup champion and world record holder in the team pursuit. Cepuran has been a member of the U.S. national team since 2018.
Casey Dawson (1500m, 5000m, 10000m, Team Pursuit) - Park City, UT, A 2022 Olympic bronze medalist in team pursuit, Dawson returns to the Olympics as a world champion, 5-time overall world cup champion and world record holder in the team pursuit. This season he also won his first individual medal at a world cup, taking gold in the 5000m.
Emery Lehman (1500m, Team Pursuit) - Oak Park, IL, This will be Lehman’s fourth Olympic Games. In 2022, Lehman won a bronze medal in the team pursuit, and has since become a world champion, 5-time overall world cup champion, and world record holder in the team pursuit.
Conor McDermott-Mostowy (1000m) - Washington, D.C., A member of the U.S. national team since 2020, McDermott-Mostowy has been an overall world cup champion in both team sprint and team pursuit, and on the world championships team three times since 2022. Milano Cortina will be his Olympic debut.
Cooper McLeod (500m, 1000m) - Kirkland, WA, A 2-time world championships medalist in the 500m and team sprint and member of the U.S. national team since 2022, McLeod has been skating since almost before he could walk. This is his first Olympic Team nomination.
Jordan Stolz (500m, 1000m, 1500m, Mass Start) - Kewaskum, WI, Often called ‘phenom’, Stolz has been making waves in the speed skating world since his Olympic debut in 2022. A 7-time world champion and 1000m world record holder, Stolz looks to continue his legacy at his second Olympic Winter Games in Milano.
Zach Stoppelmoor (500m) - West Des Moines, IA, A world championships medalist in the team sprint, Stoppelmoor is a sprint force to be reckoned with. He began his career in in-line for making the switch to ice and is now heading to his first Olympic Winter Games.
Women
Giorgia Birkeland (Team Pursuit) - White Bear Lake, MN, Birkeland competed in her first Olympic Games in Beijing 2022 and has since had consistent performance in her top races, the team pursuit and mass start. As she enters her second Olympic Games, she looks to solidify her legacy in the sport with the women’s team pursuit.
Brittany Bowe (1000m, 1500m, Team Pursuit) - Ocala, FL, A prolific in-line skating champion and DI basketball player, Bowe has qualified for her fourth Olympic Winter Games, making her one of the most successful Winter Olympians in history. She continues to collect medals across international competitions and looks to add a gold to her 2 Olympic medals.
Erin Jackson (500m, 1000m) - Ocala, FL, A 2022 Olympic Champion in the 500m, Jackson will defend her gold and add the 1000m distance as well. She transitioned from a successful in-line skating career in 2017, making the 2018 Olympic Team and now heading to her third Olympic Games in Milano.
Mia Manganello (Mass Start, Team Pursuit) - Crestview, FL, A 2018 bronze medalist in the team pursuit, Manganello looks to add to her medal haul at her third Olympic Winter Games. Manganello raced professionally in cycling for five years before returning to skating in 2016. She is a world championships medalist, and this season won her first mass start gold at a world cup.
Greta Myers (1500m, Mass Start, Team Pursuit) - Lino Lakes, MN, Myers began her skating life in hockey before finding her place in speed skating. A member of the national team since 2023, Myers is a world cup gold medalist in the mass start.
Sarah Warren (500m) - Chicago, IL, A national team member since 2022, Warren returned to skating after spending her college years playing DI soccer. Having overcome multiple ACL tears and surgeries, Warren goes into her debut Olympic Winter Games a world championships medalist in the team sprint.
Athletes qualified for Olympic quota spots through a matrix of performance criteria for direct nomination and performance at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Long Track Speed Skating. The announcements were made at the Pettit National Ice Center from January 2-5, 2026. Athletes were presented with Making Team USA presented by Xfinity gifts and recognized for their excellent performance and nomination to the team.
Speed skating competitions at the Milano Cortina 2026 Games will take place from February 7-21, 2026, at the Milano Speed Skating Stadium. The Games will officially begin with the Opening Ceremony on February 6.
