During the weekend of September 12-14 at the Utah Olympic Oval, U.S. athletes competed to qualify for the 2025 Short Track Fall World Tour Team. The competition was fierce, with athletes fighting for spots until the final race.

Kristen Santos-Griswold, World Champion and reigning Crystal Globe Champion, declined to compete due to a back injury, but qualified for the World Tour team due to her Medal Contender status.

All other athletes competed in each distance (500m, 1000m, 1500m) twice over the weekend. World Tour spots were qualified based off their overall performance over the full weekend.

A total of 12 athletes were selected to be a part of the Fall World Tour circuit in an award ceremony directly following the competition, presented by Nutricost, official sponsor of the US Speedskating Short Track team.

The team will head to three different countries across the world to compete on the ISU World Tour. Each event will be essential in qualifying for Olympic spots.

The first two World Tours will be held in Montreal, Canada on October 9-12 and October 16-19. World Tour #3 will be held in Gdansk, Poland on November 20-23 and World Tour #4 will be on November 27-30 in Dordrecht, Netherlands.

The Short Track U.S. Olympic Team will be nominated in December 2025, based on performance at the World Tour stops.

We congratulate the athletes who qualified for the World Tour Team and look forward to cheering them on as they take the international stage.
