US Speedskating Names 2026 U.S. Short Track Olympic Team
Salt Lake City, UT (December 13, 2025) – US Speedskating announced this evening the eight athletes who will represent Team USA in short track speed skating at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 in February. This includes five returning Olympians and three first-time Olympic nominees.
The eight athletes nominated are:
Corinne Stoddard, 24, Tacoma, WA – A 2022 Olympian and world championships medalist, Stoddard finished this World Tour season as second in the world, taking home 12 medals over four competitions. Having moved to Utah to train at 17 years old with her dog, Mylo, Stoddard is a breakout star, fiercely competitive in every distance.
Kristen Santos-Griswold, 31, Fairfield, CT – A 2022 Olympian and world champion, Santos-Griswold has spent the past four years solidifying her spot at the top of the world rankings. A vegan, physical therapy master’s student, and dog mom, Santos-Griswold has her eye on Olympic gold.
Julie Letai, 25, Medfield, MA – A returning Olympian from the 2022 Games and world championships medalist, Letai has juggled recovery from injury, higher education, and her passion for short track over the past four years. After setbacks in the previous season, Letai solidified her Olympic spot with multiple relay medals and her individual ranking over the 2025 Fall World Cup season.
Kamryn Lute, 21, New York, NY – A first-time Olympian, Lute is proving herself on the international stage, taking home her first two World Tour Relay medals this season. When she isn’t training on ice, Lute attends the University of Utah.
Eunice Lee, 21, Tacoma, WA – Attending her first Olympic Games in 2022, Lee goes into the Milano Cortina Games with a world championships medal in the women’s relay. Last season, she competed while completing her freshman year at Duke University.
Andrew Heo, 24, Warrington, PA – A 2022 Olympian, Heo is a world championships medalist and recently won his first individual World Tour gold. Heo, who loves travel, music and photography, looks to earn his first Olympic medal.
Brandon Kim, 24, Fairfax, VA – As he qualifies for his first Olympic Games, Kim brings a depth of experience as a world cup relay medalist and national champion. He has spent the past few years balancing training and his studies at Stanford University.
Clayton DeClemente, 26, Poughkeepsie, NY – A first-time Olympian, DeClemente excels in the 1,500-meter. With a passion for speed, whether that be fixing up old cars or perfecting his racing strategy, DeClemente is thrilled to represent Team USA in Milan.
Athletes qualified for Olympic quota spots through performance criteria during the 2025 Fall World Tour season. The announcement was made during a private event on Friday, December 12, where athletes were presented with Making Team USA presented by Xfinity gifts and recognized for their excellent performance over the season.
Short Track competitions at the Milano Cortina 2026 Games will take place from February 10-20 at the Milano Ice Skating Arena. The Games will officially begin with the Opening Ceremony on February 6.
