2026 US Junior Championships Long Track & AmCup 2

Don't miss the excitement as the Junior skaters fight for the spots on the Junior World Team!

Join us for the qualifying event for the US Speedskating athletes as they race for spots on the 2026 Junior World Championship Team and are also on the hunt for AmCup points.
Catch our junior and national team skaters flying on 17-inch blades at speeds of 38 miles per hour just 3 weeks before the Olympic Games will take place in Milano, Italy.

Admission is complimentary.

2026 US Junior Long Track Championships & AmCup 2

January 16-18, 2026

Utah Olympic Oval | 5662 S Cougar Lane | Kearns, UT 84118

Standard 400m indoor oval

This event will serve as qualifying event for selecting the US Long Track Junior World Team.

The event is open to international participation.

Entry Deadline:

January 6,  2026 at 5pm MT

Entry Fee: $125

Late entries accepted until January 12th 5pm MT. A $100 late entry fee charge will apply.

Preliminary Schedule:

Friday: 500m W/M, 1500m  W/M

Saturday: 1000m W/M, 3000m W, 5000m M

Sunday: 2x 10 Lap Mass Start W/M, 3000m Junior M in need of qualifying time

Coaches Meeting and Draw:

Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 5:00pm MT,  virtual

A Zoom link will be sent to all eligible coaches named by their athletes during the registration process.

Eligibility:

Athletes selected to a USS travel team need to be prepared to show proof of a current Athlete Physical Exam Form as outlined. Proof will have to be presented at Athlete Processing immediately following the qualifying competition and cannot be older than 365 days.

Athlete Check-In:

All athletes are required to pick up their transponders either in person or via a designated individual on Thursday, January 15 from TBD

No deposit will be required.

Not returned transponders will be charged to the skater at $100/unit.

Athlete Processing:

For athletes who qualify for international travel as part of the  Junior World Team and/or World Cup Team, please be prepared to undergo Team Processing after conclusion of event on Saturday & Sunday. Plan approx. 1 hour to complete all paperwork, visa applications (if applicable), and apparel fitting (if applicable).
