McKenzie began her skating career on inline skates at the age of six. After moving out to Salt Lake City, UT to pursue her on ice dreams in 2019. When McKenzie isn't training, you can find her on the mountain side, whether that be hiking or snowboarding, with her dog Koda. Before McKenzie began her on ice career, she was a Track Cyclist and became the 2015 Collegiate National Sprint Champion and was a 2016 Elite bronze medalist (Sprints, 500m), and Silver medalist (Team Sprint).
