2024 GSS International Short Track Development Winter Camp, December 26-30, 2024 #
The 2024 GSS International ST Development Winter Camp will be held at Richar J. Codey Arena, West Orange, NJ on December 26-30, 2024.
The camp will be led by Olympic gold medalist and GSS skating program director Linlin Sun, US Olympian and GSS head coach Tony Goskowicz, and additional coaching guests!
Linlin Sun is the founding coach for GSS and started the GSS International ST camp in the summer of 2014. Over the last ten years, she has devoted her time coaching and developing short track programs both in the US and in China. Linlin’s previous roles included Chinese national ST team leader, USS ST program director, US national, and Jr World and Olympic team coach. Linlin now focuses on the grassroot development for the sport, spending time in Utah and New Jersey, continuing driving the GSS ST program in the NJ/NY metro area.
Tony Goskowicz was US National Short Track Champion in 1996 and 500m gold medalist in 1995 Jr World ST Championships. He coached the US national team from 2001-2005 and led several development programs both at Pettit National Ice Center and at the US Olympic Education Center in Colorado between 2005-2012. Tony has been GSS Head Coach since 2021.
The week-long training programs will incorporate the latest instruction in short track technique and racing. It is designed for all skaters, age 5 to adult, nascent to elite; all areas of skating, from skills to stamina, will be in focus, further developing each skater’s ability for the racing season. Come train with aspiring speed skating athletes from both the US and overseas, all under the instruction of the GSS world class camp coaching team.
