UCB Development Camp with Former Olympic Coach Anthony Barthell and Guest Coach Maame Biney
United Capital Blades Development Camp 2023 will be held on July 7-9, 2023 at Rockville Ice Arena in Rockville, MD. Increase your speed and take your skating to the next level!The UCB Development Camp will be led by former Olympic Short Track USA Team Coach, Anthony Barthell. Additional coaching guests will be on hand for this intensive weekend training program designed for competitive Junior (intermediate) skaters ages 8-14. The camp will include 10 hours of on-ice coaching, 6 hours of dryland/off ice sessions, and video analysis.
We encourage skaters to participate in all three days of training to receive the full benefit of the camp.

Coach Anthony Barthell
Anthony Barthell has a long history of elite level coaching both in the United States and overseas. He was the 2014 USA Olympic Assistant Coach for short track in Sochi Russia and the 2018 Head Coach in Pyeongchang, South Korea. He has also been one of the Head Coaches for the Chinese team, the Head Coach for the Italian Women’s National Team for a season, and the Head Coach for the Australian National Team for two seasons. Anthony was also the FAST team Head Coach at the Olympic Oval in Salt Lake City from 2011 through 2014.
