William D. Disney

William was born April 3, 1932 and passed away April 22, 2009. He was a member of the Olympic team in 1960 and won a silver medal. He also won the titles of National and North American Indoor Champion in 1955. Throughout his life he was a National official, promoter of the sport, and excellent team coach. He was inducted to the National Speedskating Hall of Fame on May 16, 1971 in Lake Placid, New York.
