Louis Eliasberg, Jr.

Louis was born April 27, 1929. He was an original organizer of the Maryland Speedskating Association and served as a Board of Control member for over twenty years. Louis developed an electronic timing system and provided the system at all National and most North American meets in the United States for 18 years.  He also timed all of the USISA metric competitions for the same period, was a pioneer in promoting safety apparel, and served as an original trustee and manager of the ASU Medallion Fund. Louis was inducted to the National Speedskating Hall of Fame on May 19, 1990 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
