Benjamin Bagdade

Benjamin was born on January 13, 1904. During his life he was an organizer and promoter of the sport of speed skating throughout Michigan and the Detroit area for 50 years. He served as the president of ASU and as a manager of various U.S. Olympic teams. Throughout this time he also served as a referee and track steward at the Olympic Games. He was inducted to the National Speedskating Hall of Fame on May 20, 1978 in Oak Brook, Illinois.
