Attention Juniors & Neo-Seniors!  Come join us at the US Speedskating Development Camp at the Pettit National Ice Center in West Allis, Wisconsin.  The camp is sure to provide an exhilarating experience. This is where the future stars of speed skating come to sharpen their skills and ignite their passion for the sport. This camp offers young athletes an unparalleled opportunity to train alongside elite coaches and fellow speed skaters, all while fostering a spirit of camaraderie and competition. With its world-class facilities and a focus on developing both technique and mental toughness, the camp is a critical stepping stone for junior athletes aiming to make their mark on the national and international stage.

Camp is open to skaters Junior C through Neo Senior as of July 1st, 2025

Location:  The Pettit National Ice Center

Camp Cost:  $225 Deadline September 22nd

Ages:  Junior C (13) through Neo-Senior (23 on June 30th, 2025)


 Preliminary Schedule: 

Friday, September 26 

8:00-8:10am Check-in – Hall of Fame Room – 2nd Level of Pettit 

8:30am Warm-up

9:30am On-Ice – Technical Session 

12pm Lunch (Provided) 

1:30pm Presentation – Routines/Mental Prep. For Time Trials 

3:00pm Warm-up

4:00pm On-Ice – Sprint Focused Warm Up; First Half: Acceleration/Start Work 

6:00pm Camp Ends 

Saturday, September 27 

~7:30am Warm-up & Time Trials (x2 Races – Racing fees included in registration)  

11:30am Off-Ice: proper warm down with discussion

12pm Lunch (Provided) 

1:00-2:00pm Q&A – a medallist from the MKE area or a panel of NTP medallists 

4:00pm On-Ice

5:15pm Dinner (Provided)

8:00am TP/TS/MS Strategies 

8:30am Warm-up 

9:30am Practice, TP, TS, MS 

11:30am Proper Warm Down / Wrap Up
