Get ready to race on the Fastest Ice on Earth!
The Beehive Burn is a special pre-competition event in preparation for the ISU World Cup #1 in Salt Lake City. This event is open exclusively to participants and substitute skaters registered for World Cup #1 and eligible to compete in non-Olympic qualifying events.Skaters will have the opportunity to test their speed and fine-tune their racing ahead of the World Cup on the world’s fastest ice surface.
Entry Deadline:
Early Bird Pricing: $65 – available up until October 28th at 17:00 MT
Late Entry Fee: $165 between October 28 17:01 MT and November 2, 17:00 MT
We will not accept ANY entries after November 2nd 17:00 MT
Race Format:
- Each skater can register for a maximum of one distance.
- Limited spots are available for each distance on a first come first serve basis.
- 1500m and 3000m will be conducted in quads. (1000m if needed due to time restraints)
- The participant field will be limited in the 3000m to the following:3000m – 24 men, 3000m for women is not available
- There will be no re-arrangements of pairs after the draw. i.e. if a skater withdraws, the pair will skate as a single pair.
- There is only ONE hard start time in the morning, the rest will be according to the flow of the competition.
- A 15 minute warm up session will be provided for 1500m and 3000m skaters in the lunch break.
- Timing system: Photo finish, electronic timing
- This race is not listed on the ISU calendar
Preliminary Schedule:
Maximum of 1 (one) distances per skater
500m, 1000m, 1500m (quads), 3000m men (quads)
A preliminary time schedule suggests a start time of 8:30am with500m women, 500m men, 1000m women, 1000m men – lunch break – 1500m women, 1500m men, 3000m men
Coaches Meeting and Draw:
November 6th, 5:00pm virtual
A Zoom link will be sent to coaches who were named by their athletes during the registration process.
The draw will be conducted by the referees after the coaches meeting and start lists will be posted on the Sportity App.
NOTE: There will be no re-arrangements of the pairs after the draw.

Eligibility:
Athletes of foreign countries will have to provide proof of membership of their NBG during the registration process. This could be a copy of your NGB’s membership card, or your 2025/2026 ISU declaration form.

All athletes are required to confirm your entry either in person or via a designated individual on November 6th between 9:00am – 12:00pm in the upstairs offices.

Warm up session is ONLY open to registered skaters.
